The UC Berkeley Center for Consumer Law & Economic Justice and the European Law Institute Digital Law SIG are pleased to invite you to the next conversation in a series of transatlantic conversations on pressing issues in the area of consumer protection law.

The conversation will focus on the topic of artificial intelligence (AI).  Specifically, it will address current efforts to regulate AI in the US and EU, such as the recently-approved EU AI Act, and their implications for consumer protection.  The discussion will take place via Zoom on Wednesday, April 3 at 8:00 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time / 17:00 Central European Summer Time.

The conversation will be led by Philipp Hacker (Professor for Law and Ethics of the Digital Society at the European New School of Digital Studies) Pamela Samuelson (Richard M. After remarks from each speaker the floor will open for questions from the Zoom audience.
